When did this come to an end?

Well I think it's safe to say that the end has come. I have just under a week left here in NZ. I've taken all my exams as of yesterday morning , and am so very happy to be finally finished on this 1st day of July. Rachel arrived this morning bright and early, and we've spent the day packing up and trying to stay awake. Soon we'll be heading off to a kiwi-american dinner with some of my friends. It will be the final goodbye with many of them.

It's hard to believe that my time here is so near the end. Though I'm excited to be home and see everyone etc, this place has definitely become a home to me, and I will miss it a lot. I was thinking about some of the things I'll miss.
  • all three types of kiwi
  • running in the domain and along the harbour with the sailboats
  • climbing volcanic cones (or hills for that matter)
  • palm trees
  • the city
  • adventures
  • landscapes that look like the default backgrounds on a computer
  • the view from my window (and the rainbow)
  • spending the days with lizadoo
  • garcia
  • saying falenczykowski every day....and of course falen himself (I already miss the stache)
  • charles baldwin I
  • the obscene conversations that result from the previous four bullet points
  • being called a ginger (pronounced ging-ger here)
  • the ridiculous commercials and advertisements
  • emma and kat and the many geography "studying" hours and dinners
  • millie and lucy
  • all my friends, but that goes without saying
  • the ozone hole!!
  • wedges
  • tea everywhere I go
  • freak rainstorms
  • burger fuel
  • a long drive being 2hrs
  • field hockey
  • people attempting to predict the weather here
  • kate and jane
  • albert park
  • fog completely covering the sky tower
  • the chocolate cake from slurp
  • the ocean
I am looking forward to some good OJ though.

Kate and Jane: : Thanks for being so supportive and making this what it was. You two are a dynamic duo like I've never seen. I will be forever grateful and will miss you a whole lot. Jane, sorry about that jellyfish, but only a little.

I'll be up at Oberlin working this summer before heading off to engineering school at Washington University in St Louis in the fall for anyone who has not yet been informed. I may have one more post when I get home to tell of Rachel and my adventures.

That's just about all there is to say. Thanks for reading if you got this far. Off to enjoy the last few days.

sweet as....New Zealand, it was heaps of fun.
